Peter Turgoose has over 30 years of experience of applying behavioural psychology in a business context. He is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist who has worked with, and held senior HR Director positions in, leading organisations in both the UK and the USA.
Peter brings a unique blend of knowledge and experience to the design, planning and deployment of people-change strategies, which deliver measurable and sustained improvements to business performance.
Peter’s expertise is in the development of innovative strategies that change organisational capabilities and behaviours. He has brought this to bear in organisations by addressing; major M&A activity, large-scale IT implementations, liberalisation of their market place, product and service substitution, significant cost challenges. Peter is in demand as a speaker on postgraduate business psychology programmes, and as an individual coach to senior business leaders.

Peter trained as an Occupational Psychologist and initially worked in IT systems development designing user friendly systems interfaces. Frustrated with the lack of attention given to the people and organisation change factors necessary to deliver and sustain the benefits of systems implementation, Peter moved his focus to organisation development.
For the past 20 years he has held senior HR and OD positions in public and private sector organisations in both the UK and the USA, leading the design and delivery of holistic people change programmes that have underpinned successful transformational change. Peter now works as an adviser to blue chip companies, as a coach to senior change leaders, and as a lecturer on the Psychology of OD and Change.
Peter became a founding partner of Formicio in 2010.

Peter believes that an integrated people change strategy that addresses role modelling, communications, HR systems and procedures, and capability development will build the organisational mindset necessary to deliver transformational change and sustained business performance improvement: people, not systems, change organisations.
